GOA RERA: The RERA Act is aimed at monitoring the projects being developed by and builders at same time. It also seeks to gain confidence of the buyers by forcing the builders/promoters to be transparent in respect to their projects. The Goa state government had established the authority under the central RERA Rules 6 months after its enactment and the rules were framed even 45 days later of formation of such authority, the state government launched the registration portal. The Goa Government thereby granted additional time to the builder/promoters to register themselves within the ambit of RERA, i.e. by February. If beyond this time limit the builders still do not get themselves register with the Authority, there project shall stand unauthorized.
