To increase awareness about BBBP scheme, various steps are being taken by state and central government.Under Beti Bachao Beti Padao Scheme, Delhi girls who were considered healthiest and happiest were given cash prizes. To increase awareness, healthy babay shows were held at 4 North-West Delhi centres, contest held were focussed on institutional delivery, full vaccination, appropriate weight for age hygiene and good nutritional status. Functions celebrating the birth of daughters, titled “Beti Utsav” were organisd at different health centres.
