Haryana which is considered as a metropolis for Real Estate sector lags behind in establishing Real Estate Regulation and Development Act (RERA) Authority. Previously it was told that Haryana RERA (HRERA) Authority will be established by October-end. The HRERA Authority will be finally established by November-end.
With reference to RERA Rules, it was mandatory for developers to register their ongoing projects under the said Authority till RERA Deadline. Though there was no obligation as such for agents as they can register their projects before advertising or selling of the project.
HRERA notified the final set of RERA Rules in the month of July but then there was no official RERA website and the Authority was also not established. Without putting a full stop to the registration process, the applications were received offline for both agents and developers.
The consumers are the one who suffered most. Since there was no RERA Authority for Haryana the consumers were confused as they did not know whom to approach for grievances. Establishment of the authority will provide an edge over benefit to the home-buyers.
