The state government of BIHAR in its cabinet meeting has decided that ongoing projects which are not registered with the RERA authority will not be able to facilitate sale of the flats even if they have received occupation or completion certificates. The amendment will help in protecting the interest of the homebuyers in the long run. Builders in the state were missing the provisions by selling the unfinished apartments in haste. Further, an awareness camp will be launched by the state RERA authority in order to make the consumers aware about the buyer’s rights under the Act.
