Lately, in the State of Uttar Pradesh, new RERA bench was set up in Greater NOIDA and so far it seems to serve the purpose. It’s been nearly 40 days and the bench has heard 600 cases so far.
UPRERA has now two benches- one is in Greater NOIDA and another is in Lucknow. Both the benches hear matters on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. However, Wednesday have been reserved for interactions with the other agencies.
The total number of registered project in Uttar Pradesh is 2500 approximately and half of them are in NCR, this was the main reason to set up the new RERA bench in Greater Noida so that people can reach out easily to the authority for the redressal of their grievances.
This week, the UPRERA bench took up two important cases:
- Earth Infrastructure- 137 complaints have been dealt with
- Subhkamna Group Project, wherein around 100 cases were filed;
In the case of Earth Infrastructure and Earth Iconic Infrastructure, as all the promoters are in Jail, the UPRERA bench asked all the complainants to file their claims with the resolution professional appointed by the NCLT. And in the matter of Earth Gracia Buildcon Private Limited, the bench has asked to work out on the options to sell the land and refund the home-buyers, the aforesaid project is at a very nascent stage of the development so making it viable is not possible for the RERA Authority.
On the other hand, in the case of Subhkamana Tech Home Project, the Authority has taken a note on the proposal submitted by the buyer’s association to complete the project by themselves and the bench has asked the association to take the consent of the 60 percent of the home-buyers so that it can be reached out to the conclusion.
After looking at the scenario and the development of the past few months in UPRERA it can be concluded that the day is not very far where all the fuss of Real Estate market will be streamlined in Uttar Pradesh.
