The Gurugram bench of RERA has clarified the rules for registration of projects in the state of Haryana. The bench while passing an order in the matter of Simmi Sikka Vs.  Emaar MGF ruled that even promoters who had applied for occupation certificate or completion certificate before the implementation of the Haryana RERA rules will not be exempted for registration as laid down in the rules. The rules had come under fire from the homebuyers who had alleged that the rules have been diluted to favour the builders. The authority further stated that even projects that have got partial occupation and completion certificates and have not completed the development works yet will be dealt by DTCP and their certificates will be revoked. The ruling will impact more than 200 hundred projects in the state of Haryana.
