The Income Tax Department has introduced a new e-facility for linking PAN number with Aadhaar card. Explain that the government has mandated the Aadhaar card number along with PAN number for filing income tax return. The Income Tax Department has started a new link on the e-filing website, IncometaxindianFilings.com. This will make it easier for people to connect their two distinct identity cards. After going to this link, after giving your PAN number and Aadhaar number, the person has to enter the name mentioned in the Aadhaar card.
After confirmation from the Indian Unique Identification Authority, it will be added. If there is a mess, then the one-time password will be sent by UIDAI, which will be sent to the registered mobile number on the basis. To use this facility, registration of e-filing website of the Income Tax Department will not be required. Anyone can use it.
To avoid any kind of failure, it is necessary to have the same date of birth mentioned on both identity cards. Significantly, the government has made it mandatory to add pan and base to each other under the Finance Act 2017. This will be effective July 1, 2017.
