Maha RERA : Regardless of expanding deadlines, hardly 12 percent property dealers in Maharashtra have enrolled under the MahaRERA, the state real estate regulatory authority.
MahaRERA Chairman Gautam Chatterjee said at the National Convention for Brokers organised by SAI Estate Consultants and the Confederation of Real Estate Brokers Association of India that the RERA enrollment accompanies a status for dealers in the business. There are over one lakh representatives in Maharashtra however just 12,000 are enrolled. Thereby he appealed the community of brokers to get them registered, which will give them the status, and it will aid in generating more revenue. RERA registration is the license mark for all projects, brokers and developers.”
The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 became effective in Maharashtra from May 1 a year ago.
Maha RERA Chairman, Chatterjee also propelled a mobile application ‘Wajood’ which targets on bringing all the brokers on a single platform.
