Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulation and Development Act (UPRERA) once and for all will now have its own office. This is going to be an edge over benefit for the homebuyers as they can go directly to UPRERA office and file complaint against the builder.
UPRERA notified its final set of rules on 28/07/2017 but the registration process for developers and agents was through UPRERA website. Even the complaint against builders can be filed online. Since there were technical issues on the website, it was a gordian situation for homebuyers to complete the complaint process.
To ensure expeditious disposal of complaints and consumers grievances, the state government has appointed nodal officers who will be collecting the details of all RERA registered projects in their zones. The nodal officers will also look into the matters relating inconsistency in the project completion and flaws in the declaration of possession dates.
