Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (HRERA-situated at Panchkula) which is constituted under Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016 and the Haryana Real Estate (regulation and development) Rules 2017 seems to be handicapped when it comes to applying the provisions of the above stated act. The concerned act under section-3 and under the forgoing rules makes it mandatory on the part of real estate project developers which are yet to completed to get registered with the concerned RERA authority and the time period post enactment of the act was three months which has been over for a long time now. In total 600 applications has been received out of which 400 had been granted registration certificates, but there are still 250 projects which have not even applied for registration under the act and are under the radar of HRERA at Panchkula but to lash out on these real estate projects the authority needs to be complete in composition which seems to be incomplete so far, though the chairperson has been appointed but the requirement two members is yet to be met by the authority. In coming future things may seem to get on track and the home buyers may be safeguarded against these real estate project holders.
