Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) alleged that builders cannot blame the system to seek exemption from paying rectification to homebuyers for the delay in completion of projects.
The regulator has authorized that the developer is not entitled to recover any money from allottees without approvals of the competent authority. With this, MahaRERA has re-established that builders need to resign from launching projects and committing deadlines until permissions are in place.
