A conference was held on Monday where the Gurugram RERA authority president Mr. K.K Khandelwal was the guest of honor. The conference brought many viewpoints in the public domain. The president stated that the authority is the process of devising a new mechanism wherein industry bodies and developers will be roped in order to complete the projects which have been pending for years.
Once the mechanism is developed it will be sent to the state governments for approval. Mr. Naveen Jain president of the National Real Estate Development Council (NARECDO) was quoted saying that many developers were indeed interested in taking over the projects where either the developers have been arrested or gone bankrupt. The problem though is that there was no policy or guideline to facilitate the same. Mr. Khandelwal further stated that role of RERA authority is not just that of a facilitator rather completion and handover of projects is their top priority.
At present there are more than 4000 projects and 600 real estate agents being registered with the HRERA authority. Though the registration will not affect the remedy and a complaint can filed against any developer.
